With that in mind, describe Helnwein's image in as much detail as you can and in a separate post, record your answers on your Blog. Look at the image closely (Click on it to enlarge). What do you see? Describe it as if you were recounting it in detail to someone who had never seen it. Think about the scale--how could the size affect the meaning?  Think about the material, the logistics and engineering of mounting it.  Is it one contiguous image or is it spliced together or can't you tell?

Think about the location--is it urban? Rural? Residential? Industrial? Given the image's location, who do you think will see the it? Who is the intended audience? Describe the mood of the image. What is the expression on the girl's face? Is it blase? Is it engaged? Is it optimistic? Wondering? Melancholy?

Finally, consider the title "The Last Girl". What do you think the title suggests?

The girls face is a mural with real people climbing on top of it. It looks like a little girl who is staring off into the distance. She looks sort of scared and like she is homeless or just went through something. The picture is really big so there might a big meaning or message behind it. I can't tell, originally I thought the two pictures were to get the whole picture in the shot. I think it's industrial because it is on a very big bland looking building. It seems very serious. The expression on the girl's face to me is exhaustion or being scared. It is very engaging and would catch anyone's eye. It is wondering I think because the meaning is really up to you. I think it suggests that she is the last of a generation or a group of people.
